Tennesseans for Quality Early Education is excited to join forces with partners across the state to launch Loud Voices for Little Kids – a campaign driven by advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, early educators, business leaders, parents and concerned citizens dedicated to advancing children’s success in the early years. The campaign aims to educate Tennesseans about early care and education policy priorities, including:
- Strengthening early literacy supports
- Nurturing physical and mental health from birth
- Increasing access to high-quality, affordable child care
- Making high-quality Pre-K an option for more Tennessee families
- Empowering parents and families
“A strong early education foundation, from birth to third grade, is the key to not only academic achievement, but also workforce success and a strong economic future for our state. However, more than two-thirds of Tennessee’s third graders aren’t proficient in reading or math,” said Blair Taylor, President & CEO of TQEE. “Our state is facing a crisis, but the good news is that we can all help by using our loud voices to ensure Tennessee’s littlest learners are our biggest priority. That’s what this campaign is all about.”
Partner organizations will come together to raise awareness of important issues affecting Tennessee children and their families. Additionally, individuals can sign up to pledge their support and help spread the word.
