Coordinated Enrollment

What is it?

Coordinated enrollment for early care and education (ECE) programs allows more families from a specific area to enroll in a program that fits their needs. Multiple providers can create a joint application and work with families on selecting and enrolling in a provider that is right for their family. Providers can also work together to eliminate duplication of enrollment paperwork and eligibility determination processes. 

What is the evidence base?

Coordinated enrollment can help families learn what services they’re eligible for, choose from a variety of options within their communities, and ensure a more efficient use of federal, state, and local resources. These efforts streamline processes, unify the early care and education system, and increase family access to programs.
